Prof Philip Mitchell

Professor Philip Mitchell is a highly regarded psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of depression and bipolar disorder. Based in St Leonards, Sydney, he offers comprehensive assessment and treatment services for individuals experiencing these mental health conditions. In 2002 and 2004, he received the Senior Research Award and Founders Medal, respectively, from the Australasian Society for Psychiatry Research. In 2008, he was invited to deliver the Samuel Novey Lecture in Psychological Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. The following year, his service to medical education, particularly in the field of psychiatry, led to his appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia. In 2017, he was elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.
