Philip Jumeau is an established Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Head and Neck Surgeon. He earned his MBBS with honours from Monash University in 1996 and completed advanced training in ENT surgery at various hospitals to qualify as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He then served as the primary provider of ENT services to the Cairns region for 14 years, where he gained substantial experience in otology, paediatric ENT surgery, and rhinology, including complex revision nasal reconstructive work.
Mr. Jumeau developed a particular interest in rhinoplasty, both for cosmetic and functional purposes, and is actively engaged in academic and teaching activities in this area. An official consultant appointment at Monash Health for the past seven years allowed him to work and teach in the field of rhinoplasty while maintaining strong links with his peers and remaining up-to-date academically.
Recently, Mr. Jumeau has been working with Professor Anthony Holmes, a Craniofacial Surgeon at the Royal Children's Hospital, sharing a structural philosophy for rhinoplasty and complex nasal reconstruction. Upon his return to Melbourne from Cairns in early 2019, Professor Holmes invited him to join his private practice.
Outside of work, Mr. Jumeau enjoys mountain biking, motorsports, fitness, snow sports, food, and travel. He also has a passion for construction projects.
