Dr Payman Molaee

Dr Payman Molaee MBBS (Hons) PhD FRACP is a dedicated cardiologist based in Findon, Adelaide, South Australia. With extensive experience and expertise in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, he specialises in echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Dr Molaee completed his undergraduate medical training at the prestigious University of Adelaide, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 2000. He then pursued his physician training at the renowned Royal Adelaide Hospital, followed by advanced training in cardiology at the Flinders Medical Centre. In recognition of his outstanding clinical skills and knowledge, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2006.

Driven by a passion for research, Dr Molaee embarked on a PhD journey in 2007, focusing on advanced cardiac MRI at the Cardiovascular Research Centre of the Royal Adelaide Hospital and University of Adelaide. Through a full-time postgraduate scholarship from the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia and the National Heart Foundation of Australia, as well as an additional grant from the Royal Adelaide Hospital/IMVS, he investigated the effects of atrial fibrillation ablation on heart structure and function using cardiac MRI. His groundbreaking findings have been shared at national and international conferences, and he was honored with a travelling fellowship by the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand to present his research at the Annual Scientific Sessions of the American College of Cardiology in Orlando, U.S.A in 2009.

Having achieved the highest level of training (level 3) in cardiac MRI, Dr Molaee possesses in-depth knowledge and expertise in utilizing non-invasive imaging techniques for assessing chest pain, preventive cardiology, cardiovascular risk assessment and management, as well as preoperative work-up.

Dr Molaee conducts regular clinics in North Adelaide, Findon, and Morphett Vale, providing compassionate and comprehensive care to his patients. He is fluent in English and Persian, further enhancing his ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
