Dr Yann Chow

Dr Yann Chow is a highly skilled and qualified cardiologist based in Modbury, Adelaide, South Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Adelaide in 2002 and went on to pursue advanced cardiology training at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

With a special interest in women's cardiology, Dr Chow has conducted extensive research in the field. She was awarded an Australian Postgraduate Award to support her PhD research on cardiac and vascular function in pregnancy, demonstrating her dedication to advancing the understanding of cardiovascular health in women.

Aside from her private practice, Dr Chow holds public appointments as a consultant cardiologist at the Lyell McEwin Hospital and Modbury Hospital. She is highly regarded in the medical community for her expertise in cardiac imaging, valvular heart disease, heart failure management, and women's health.

Dr Chow joined SA Heart in 2014 and currently conducts regular clinics at their Modbury location. Her services include consultations, exercise stress testing, and echocardiography, ensuring her patients receive comprehensive and personalized care.

Born in Malaysia, Dr Chow is culturally diverse and linguistically fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Hakka, and Teochew. This enables her to effectively communicate and provide care to a diverse patient population.
