Dr Paul Watson

Dr Paul Watson is a highly qualified cardiologist based in Brisbane, Australia. He completed his advanced cardiology training at The Prince Charles Hospital after earning his degree from The University of Queensland. Dr Watson's passion for coronary angioplasty and stenting led him to pursue a two-year fellowship in the United States at one of Boston's top teaching hospitals, where he gained an extensive amount of expertise in this field.

In 1999, Dr Watson made his return to Brisbane, Australia, and has since been practicing at his large private cardiology practice. As one of Queensland's foremost experts in coronary angioplasty and stenting, he consults with a diverse group of patients in both an outpatient and inpatient setting at Greenslopes Private Hospital. Dr Watson also visits the Redland Heart Centre once a week on Tuesdays for clinical appointments. In addition, his role as Director for Heart Services involves providing diagnostic reporting for both Redland and Greenslopes Heart Centres.

Dr Watson's area of special interest is focused on diagnosing and managing acute and stable coronary artery disease through direct interventions with coronary angioplasty and stenting. He has pursued these life-saving procedures with great success and has helped many of his patients recover from potentially fatal cardiovascular issues. His achievements have earned him the position of Chair of Cardiology at Greenslopes Private Hospital, where he remains a highly respected and skilled physician.
