Dr Najmeh Jadidi is a Psychiatrist practicing in Fitzroy, Melbourne, Victoria. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from RAFSANJAN UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES AND HEALTH SERVICES in 2003. In 2018, she became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
Dr Jadidi has a special interest in perinatal psychiatry, infant mental health, psychodynamic psychotherapy, family therapy, and child-parent psychotherapy. She has extensive experience in assessing and treating various conditions, including anxiety, mood disorders, and emerging/early psychosis. Her expertise lies in anxiety disorders, depression, psychosis, and psychotherapy.
Currently, Dr Jadidi works as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in an Early Psychosis team within a public Child and Youth Mental Health Service in Victoria. She is skilled in providing weekly psychotherapy sessions and has experience working with interpreters.
In addition to her English proficiency, Dr Jadidi is also fluent in Persian (Farsi). She has worked with diverse patient populations, including asylum seekers and refugees, non-English speakers, and families.
