With a keen interest in cardiac electrophysiology, Dr Alasti completed his general cardiology training at Rajaei Heart Centre in Iran in 2004. He further specialised in interventional electrophysiology and cardiac device implantation through a fellowship at the same centre. In 2014, he pursued advanced training in complex ablation techniques, particularly for ventricular tachycardia, in Leipzig, Germany.
Dr Alasti immigrated to Australia in 2016 and joined Monash Medical Centre as a Cardiac Rhythm Management Fellow. His dedication and expertise led to him being awarded a fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2017. His current research focuses on autonomic nervous system changes in various medical conditions, with a particular emphasis on AF ablation.
Besides his specialization in cardiac rhythm management, Dr Alasti maintains an interest in general cardiology and constantly seeks to expand his knowledge and keep up-to-date with the latest advances in cardiovascular health. He is currently associated with Holmesglen Private Hospital.
