Dr Ross MacIntyre is a highly skilled and experienced ophthalmologist specialising in corneal, cataract, and refractive surgery. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry and Doctor of Medicine degree with Honours from a renowned university in New York. After completing a transitional internship at Columbia University, Dr MacIntyre underwent registrar training in ophthalmology at Brown University. He further expanded his expertise through fellowship training in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. Additionally, he pursued a cornea fellowship at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, gaining extensive experience in the field.
Throughout his training, Dr MacIntyre engaged in research and published articles in various medical journals. He has also presented at numerous international and local scientific meetings. His achievements include being a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honour Medical Society in the United States, and a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.
Currently, Dr MacIntyre serves as a staff specialist at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, where he is involved in training registrars and fellows, as well as providing public healthcare services. His areas of expertise include medical diseases affecting the cornea and corneal transplant surgery. Dr MacIntyre's exceptional qualifications and experience reflect his commitment to excellence in his field, making him a reliable and trusted expert in eye care.
