Dr Michael Vagg is an esteemed consultant in rehabilitation and pain medicine, currently serving at Mitcham Private Hospital. He completed his medical education from Monash University in 1994, after which he spent several years as a Medical Officer in the RAAF. He then completed a Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) in 2004 and Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2006. With extensive expertise in his field, Michael also holds an appointment as Clinical Senior Lecturer in Musculoskeletal Medicine at Deakin University School of Medicine.
In addition to his role at the hospital, Michael is also a Director of Pain Matrix and serves as the Chair of Professional Affairs Executive Committee and Board Member representing the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) for the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FPM). He is a highly respected figure in media, and regularly contributes to The Conversation website as a Health and Medicine Columnist. Michael has been invited to ABC Local Radio across the country, and occasionally appears on television to discuss various medical-related topics.
