Dr Melanie Turner

Dr Turner specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry, with a focus on patients aged 0 to 18 years. She provides private outpatient care and is able to offer telehealth consultations. Dr Turner has a particular interest in working with individuals who identify as gender diverse, as well as those who identify as gay or lesbian. She also has experience in treating patients with intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities.

In terms of expertise, Dr Turner is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating a range of mental health conditions. These include anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, bipolar disorder, cognitive behavioral therapy, depression, developmental disabilities, obsessive-compulsive disorders, psychosis, schizophrenia, and supportive psychotherapy.

As part of her services, Dr Turner offers opinion and report services as per MBS item 291. She also provides professional supervision and engages in shared care arrangements. Dr Turner accepts Medicare Easyclaim payments to facilitate ease of access for her patients.
