Dr Liam Halliday is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee arthroplasty. He is based in Geelong, Victoria, and holds qualifications including a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Melbourne. Dr Halliday obtained his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2019.
With a particular interest in anterior hip replacement and robotic surgery, Dr Halliday is dedicated to providing evidence-based care to his patients. He has received international training in hip preservation surgery, including periacetabular osteotomy, as well as pediatric orthopaedics.
Prior to establishing his practice in Geelong, Dr Halliday completed fellowships at Western Health, where he focused on trauma and arthroplasty, and with Mr Jit Balakumar, where he further specialized in anterior hip replacement and hip preservation surgery. Additionally, he gained experience in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand.
