Mr Joseph Thomas

Meet Mr. Joseph Thomas, an Australian urologist with extensive experience in the UK and Australia. He completed his urology training in Victoria in 2002 and later worked in Oxford and Leeds in the UK. Afterward, he served as Head of Endourology at Southampton General Hospital, one of the largest teaching hospitals in the UK, for four years, where he established an Endourology unit.

Currently, Joseph practices in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, where he provides complete Urological surgical care, with a particular interest in kidney stone treatment. As the head of a large kidney stone unit, Joseph has extensive experience in treating complex kidney stones and recurrent stone-forming conditions. He is renowned for his expertise in all aspects of kidney stone surgery.

In addition, Joseph has received international training in prostate cancer management, he is fully qualified in robotic surgery, and provides comprehensive prostate cancer management in collaboration with medical and radiation oncologists via weekly multidisciplinary meetings.

Joseph holds consultant urological positions at Eastern Health Box Hill, Maroondah, The Angliss, and Lilydale hospitals and operates privately at Ringwood Private Hospital. He brings an immense wealth of expertise to his practice and is committed to providing the highest levels of care to all his patients.
