Dr Janice Cheng

Dr Cheng is a passionate and experienced urologist with a keen interest in functional urology. She has been providing expert care for adult patients with diverse urological conditions in both public and private settings, operating at Western Private and the Epworth, and holding public appointments at Western and Northern. Patients with lower urinary tract problems, incontinence, bladder prolapse, and stones can trust her expertise. Dr Cheng was born and raised in Taiwan, and she has lived in Australia for over two decades. She obtained her Honors in Medicine and her Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Melbourne in 2005. After completing her urological training and gaining her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS Urol) in 2015, she dedicated two years to advanced training in functional urology. She also completed her Certificate in Clinician Performed Ultrasound (CCPU) in 2017 with the Australasian Society of Ultrasound Medicine, further enhancing her skills and expertise. Dr Cheng is committed to keeping herself up-to-date with the latest diagnostics and management techniques, which is why she travels to international conferences every year and is frequently invited to present and assist in workshops. She is an active instructor at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and is listed on the International Continence Society (ICS) faculty database. Her fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Taiwanese allows her to communicate effectively with all her patients.
