Dr Hossein Ghazavi

Dr. Hossein Ghazavi is a highly skilled otolaryngologist (ENT) and head and neck surgeon with vast experience in treating a wide range of conditions related to the nose and sinuses, thyroid and parathyroid, head and neck lesions, obstructive sleep apnoea, paediatric conditions, and ear diseases. He is a Fellow with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (FRACS) and attained his specialisation in 2014. His expertise also extends to rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Ghazavi underwent subspecialty training and fellowship in head and neck reconstruction and skull base surgery at John Hunter Hospital. He then served as a consultant ENT surgeon for a year before contributing to the establishment of Tamworth Base Hospital's ENT unit, eight years after going without an ENT surgeon. His dedication to educating and training ENT surgeons is evident through his active involvement in teaching ENT registrars and resident medical officers. Additionally, he has published several articles in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery. Dr. Ghazavi operates out of Tamworth Base Hospital and Tamara Private Hospital and brings his expertise and experience to the local community.
