Dr Hannah Hessamodini

Dr Hannah Hessamodini is a highly trained and experienced specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with a keen interest in the management of functional gut disorders and nutrition. She holds conjoint recognition for gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and capsule endoscopy, and offers a no-gap service for clinic and endoscopic procedures. Additionally, Dr Hessamodini has received specialised training in intestinal ultrasound and is a current member of the International Bowel Ultrasound group.

Dr Hessamodini completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2010, before returning to Perth in 2011 to commence her physician training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. She was subsequently accepted as a member of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2018 after completing her specialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. During her training, Dr Hessamodini worked with the Western Australian Liver Transplant Service, the Royal Perth, and Sir Charles Gairdner gastroenterology services, as well as being an endoscopic ultrasound Fellow at Fiona Stanley Hospital.

Dr Hessamodini has a particular interest in the management of coeliac disease, iron deficiency, anaemia, bowel cancer screening, and genetic GI cancer syndromes. She is highly respected among her peers and patients for her skill and expertise, and always provides compassionate, patient-centered care. In addition to her work across Glengarry and Hollywood Private Hospitals, Dr Hessamodini also consults from her rooms in Duncraig, offering her patients convenient and flexible care options.
