Dr Geoffrey Trueman

Dr Geoffrey Trueman is an experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 25 years of practice in Australia and the UK. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the United Kingdom in 1987 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Dr Trueman has been in private practice on the Gold Coast and the Northern Rivers for over 17 years, providing advanced obstetric and gynaecological services to both public and private patients. He holds regular operating lists at John Flynn Private Hospital and The Tweed Hospital, where he is on the private and public roster for obstetrics and gynaecology.

With a dedication to personalised obstetric care, Dr Trueman has extensive experience in managing high-risk pregnancies, multiple births, and vaginal deliveries post-Caesarean. His excellent communication skills and holistic approach to patient-centred care contribute to his track record of successful outcomes. He collaborates with his patients to develop individualized birth plans that prioritize the safe delivery of their babies.

In addition to his obstetric practice, Dr Trueman offers infertility investigations, advice, and full IVF services in collaboration with City Fertility in Robina. He is passionate about implementing a patient-centred approach in his service provision, recognizing the significant impact gynaecological issues can have on his patients' health, well-being, and quality of life.

Dr Trueman has established a busy obstetric and gynaecological practice at the John Flynn Medical Centre, where he serves as Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He is an active member of the Medical Advisory Committee at John Flynn Private Hospital and previously held the positions of Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for four years and Chairman of Surgical Services at St Vincent's Hospital.

Outside of his medical career, Dr Trueman enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, taking walks on the beautiful Gold Coast beaches, and going bushwalking. He is an avid Manchester City football fan and enjoys boating, fishing, and trying out new restaurants in the area. During his holidays, he enjoys camping, skiing, and spending quality time with his loved ones. As an Associate Medical Professor at Bond University, he is actively involved in teaching medical students and enhancing their practical skills and theoretical knowledge in obstetrics and gynaecology.
