Dr Fiona Ting

Born and raised in Brisbane, Fiona moved to Sydney to pursue her passion for medicine at the University of New South Wales. She graduated with honors and went on to complete a Master of Clinical Epidemiology with a special focus on preventative health. Fiona kick-started her surgical training in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery in NSW and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery in 2017.

In her quest for advanced training, Fiona travelled to London, United Kingdom, where she underwent a further training program that specialised in endoscopic sinus surgery and anterior skull base surgery. Her mentors, Professor Claire Hopkins, Dr David Roberts, Dr Florian Bast and Dr PavolSurda, guided her training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, and King’s College University Hospital.

Fiona's research skills have garnered international recognition, and her research is published globally. She has co-authored a chapter of a textbook on imaging in endoscopic endonasal skull base surgery and is a keynote speaker on quality of life in skull base surgery at a skull base world congress. Fiona is dedicated to teaching young doctors and is an active member of the Women in Surgery initiative, which aims to provide a platform for both academic and personal development.
