A/Prof Dennis Cordato, MBBS, PhD, FRACP, is a highly respected Neurologist based in Sydney, Australia. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1988 and went on to pursue a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. With over 30 years of clinical experience, A/Prof Cordato is considered an expert in his field.
A/Prof Cordato's special interests lie in Neuropharmacology, Stroke, Epilepsy, Neurophysiology, Chronic Migraine, and Botulinum Toxin Therapy for Neurological Disorders. He holds the position of Conjoint Associate Professor at Liverpool Hospital and the University of New South Wales. Additionally, he is an Academic Head of Stroke Research at Liverpool Hospital.
Throughout his career, A/Prof Cordato has been involved in numerous groundbreaking research studies and clinical trials. He has served as the principal investigator in over ten acute and post-acute stroke-related multi-center randomized controlled clinical trials. Some of these trials include PROGRESS, CHARISMA, ON-TARGET, and PERFORM. He has also worked on clinical research trials in the areas of Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's Dementia, and Parkinson's Disease.
A/Prof Cordato's contributions to the medical field are well-documented in over 90 peer-reviewed local and international journal publications. He has published more than 40 papers in the area of cerebrovascular disease. In addition, he has presented over 100 times at local and international scientific stroke and neurology meetings.
