Dr. David Hamilton is a highly skilled Specialist in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia who is devoted to helping individuals with acute and chronic pain find meaningful relief and regain their quality of life. With a focus on interventional multidisciplinary care, he has a passion for all facets of adult pain medicine and is committed to providing the best possible care for his patients.
Originally from Scotland, Dr. Hamilton initially pursued a career in science and received a First-Class honours degree in Biochemistry and Immunology from the University of Strathclyde in 1997, where he also received the Immunology Prize. He was awarded the prestigious Caledonian Scholarship to continue his undergraduate research and develop a novel TB vaccine, but instead decided to shift his focus to medicine and graduated from The University of Glasgow in 2002.
After completing his surgical training in the southwest of England and earning Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006, Dr. Hamilton began training as an anaesthetist while also founding a development company focused on converting heritage barns into exclusive residential dwellings. In 2013, he emigrated with his young family to Western Australia and completed the Western Australian anaesthesia training program, receiving Fellowship in 2018.
Driven by his passion for improving patient outcomes, Dr. Hamilton undertook further specialist training in Pain Medicine, including the interventional fellowship at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
