Dr Chuks Ajaero is a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiologist based in Mount Barker, 5251, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. With a strong passion for his field, Dr Ajaero specialises in the management of cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, implantable cardiac devices, and transosephageal echocardiography.
Dr Ajaero obtained his Medical Bachelor and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Nigeria in 1997. Following his undergraduate studies, he pursued postgraduate training, leading to the prestigious Nigerian Fellowship of the Medical College of Physicians in Cardiology, which he was awarded in 2005.
Driven by his commitment to excellence, Dr Ajaero sought further advanced training in cardiology and relocated to Australia in 2007. He received extensive training in preventive cardiology, heart failure management, and valvular heart disease management. In recognition of his clinical expertise and dedication to his patients, Dr Ajaero was conferred with the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Cardiology in 2012.
Currently, Dr Ajaero serves as a consultant cardiologist with appointments at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Lyell McEwin Hospital. He holds a pivotal role as the lead investigator in a proposed multicentre trial of cardiac resynchronization therapy, which involves collaboration between The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, and Lyell McEwin Hospital. This trial aims to advance the understanding and treatment of heart failure and arrhythmias.
