Dr Christina Lai

Dr. Christina Lai is a specialist in renal medicine, with a particular focus on kidney transplantation. She graduated from the University of New South Wales in Sydney and completed her basic physicians training at St. Vincent's Hospital. Afterward, she underwent specialist training in renal medicine through Liverpool Hospital, Concord Hospital, and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, which led to receiving her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP). Currently, Dr. Lai is completing a PhD on early immunological and clinical events in kidney transplantation, and she has presented her research at both national and international conferences. In addition to her academic pursuits, she practices as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at the Mater Hospital and Strathfield Private Hospital, providing comprehensive care to patients with hypertension, chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis, and those in need of renal transplantation. Dr. Lai's proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin facilitates her communication with patients from diverse backgrounds, making her a valuable team member in the medical profession.
