Dr Briony Hart

Dr Hart's primary area of expertise lies in the field of psychiatry, with a special focus on schizophrenia. She has extensive experience working with adult patients who have complex co-morbid clinical illnesses, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and psychosis/schizophrenia. Additionally, Dr Hart has a specialist interest in complex trauma/PTSD and transgender issues.

Dr Hart provides care for patients in different age groups, ranging from 18 to 60 and those over 60. She has experience working with diverse populations, including asylum seekers and refugees, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, doctors, psychiatrists, or medical students, gender diverse individuals, gay and lesbian individuals, those with intellectual disabilities, intersex individuals, military and veterans, as well as those with physical disabilities.

With expertise in various mental health conditions, Dr Hart offers support and treatment for anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, brain injury, cognitive-behavioral therapy, conversion disorder, dementia-related disorders, depression, EMDR therapy, obsessive-compulsive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, and supportive psychotherapy.
