Dr Anusha Lazzari

Dr Anusha Lazzari is an experienced Obstetrician & Gynaecologist based in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. She completed her medical degree from Guy's, Kings and St Thomas's Hospital in London in 2006. Dr Lazzari is passionate about providing high-quality evidenced based medical care to women, with a focus on minimally invasive surgery, pelvic pain disorders, menopause-related medical care, and simulation-based training in Obstetrics emergencies.

With a diverse medical background, Dr Lazzari has worked in hospitals across Australia, including The Cairns Hospital, Townsville Hospital, The Mater Mothers Hospital in Brisbane, and The Royal Darwin Hospital. She takes great pride in serving women living in both remote and large city hospitals.

Dr Lazzari's interest in Immunology and Tropical Medicine was evident from the beginning. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Kings College London in Immunology with Parasitology, which she obtained in 2003. Her move to Australia in 2008 marked the beginning of her specialist training with The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, which she successfully completed in 2011.

Outside of her professional commitments, Dr Lazzari is passionate about environmental conservation and sustainable living. She is an avid gardener and orchid grower, and she enjoys dressmaking and costume designing in her spare time.
