Mr. Andrew Gong is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip, knee, trauma-fracture, and shoulder surgeries. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1996 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2005. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
With a passion for orthopaedics, Mr. Gong has a special interest in hip and knee surgeries, including anterior hip replacements, primary and revision hip/knee replacements, knee arthroscopy, and ACL reconstruction. He is also skilled in shoulder surgeries, such as arthroscopy and rotator cuff repair, as well as trauma management, including fracture management.
Having gained valuable experience through fellowships in the UK and Canada, Mr. Gong currently holds consultant positions at the Austin and Dandenong Hospitals. In addition to his surgical practice, he actively participates in teaching and mentoring aspiring surgeons in joint replacement surgery and trauma orthopaedics. He is also part of the Australian faculty for AO Trauma.
