Dr Alison Blatt

Dr Alison Blatt is an experienced Urological Surgeon based in Australia who provides a comprehensive range of adult urological services. She specialises in benign voiding disorders, oncology, female urology and stone disease. Dr Blatt holds specialist qualifications in Urology from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and also completed a Master of Surgery degree from the University of Sydney and a Clinical Fellowship in Oncology and Robotic Surgery in Cambridge.

After obtaining her medical degree with honours from Newcastle University, Dr Blatt underwent training across various regions in New South Wales. She has also served as a Clinical Lecturer in Urology at Sydney University, demonstrating her passion for teaching. Dr Blatt's clinical fellowship year was spent at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where she had the opportunity to practice uro-oncology and robotic surgery with Professor David Neal- a leading UK surgeon-scientist.

Dr Blatt's commitment to professional development and research is evident through her numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in medical texts. She is passionate about staying current with the latest advances in urology and regularly attends professional conferences. After completing her FRACS in Urology, Dr Blatt devoted her research work to studying benign voiding disorders using electron microscopy analysis of the detrusor muscle of the bladder. Her Master's degree in Surgery, earned in 2010, is a testament to her extensive medical knowledge and commitment to her patients.
