Dr Alex Chamberlain

Dr. Alex Chamberlain is a respected dermatologist practicing in Malvern, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Honours from Monash University in 1993 and completed his residency at The Alfred Hospital.

Prior to specialising in dermatology, Dr. Chamberlain served as a Research Fellow at the Victorian Melanoma Service. He underwent dermatology training at prestigious institutions such as the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals (Churchill Hospital), Austin Repatriation Medical Centre, and The Alfred Hospital.

In 2004, Dr. Chamberlain achieved fellowship status with the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD), demonstrating his expertise and commitment to the field. He has remained actively involved in the medical community, serving as a visiting specialist at the Royal Children's Hospital in the pediatric dermatology clinic until 2011.

Dr. Chamberlain currently works as a consultant to the Victorian Melanoma Service at The Alfred Hospital. This multidisciplinary clinic provides comprehensive support for patients with melanoma. He has a special interest in dermatoscopy, which is the use of a handheld device to aid in the early detection of skin cancers, including melanoma. Furthermore, he focuses on the treatment and management of conditions such as acne, disorders of hair, nails, and HS (Hidradenitis Suppurativa).
