Dr. Adrian Selim is a highly qualified clinical and laboratory haematologist with a vast experience in malignant haematology. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Bond University in 2009 and later pursued haematology training in Sydney's Eastern hospital network. Dr. Selim completed his bone marrow transplant fellowship at the Bristol Royal Infirmary in the United Kingdom before becoming the inaugural cell therapies fellow at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in 2019. During this fellowship, he gained widespread knowledge in cutting-edge immunotherapies, especially chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy (CAR-T) and a strong foundation in clinical research.
Dr. Selim has authored many peer-reviewed publications and is a fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA). He specializes in both malignant and non-malignant blood disorders that include acute and chronic leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myeloproliferative disorders, and myelodysplastic syndromes.
Dr. Selim is multilingual, and he can speak English, Arabic and French fluently. He is a member of various affiliations like the European Haematology Association (EHA), Australasian Lymphoma and Leukaemia Group (ALLG), eviQ Cellular Therapies Reference Committee, Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA).
Dr. Selim gives referral services for malignant and non-malignant blood disorders, but he has a special clinical interest in leukaemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplasia, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. Dr. Selim's extensive experience and expertise make him an outstanding haematologist committed to quality healthcare and medical research.
