Dr Abhay Venkat

Dr Abhay Venkat is a renowned Neurologist based in Wollongong, Australia. With a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery degree from the Australian National University in 2010, he went on to complete his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in the Adult Medicine Division in 2020.

Dr Venkat has a wide range of expertise in the field of neurology, with a particular focus on Neuroimmunology, Stroke, and Neurophysiology. He is highly regarded for his contributions to research, with several notable publications to his name. These include studies on severe dysautonomia in NMDAR encephalitis, the reversal of dabigatran with idarucizumab in hyperacute stroke, and intracranial hypertension in a patient with Class V lupus nephritis. Dr Venkat also presented a poster at the ANZAN conference in 2020 on this topic.
