Dr Frank Buchanan is an anaesthetist specializing in interventional pain medicine. He completed his anaesthesia training at the Alfred and Geelong Hospital training programmes after graduating from Monash University. Dr Buchanan has a particular interest in chronic pelvic pain, complex regional pain, persistent postsurgical pain, spinal and radicular pain. He is also highly skilled in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia.
Driven by a commitment to evidence-based medicine, Dr Buchanan is currently completing a PhD in Epidemiology at Monash University. His research focuses on anaesthesia and pain management, contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge in these areas.
