Dr Ulla Jonsson

Dr Ulla Jonsson is a dedicated and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist based in South Perth, Western Australia. With over 16 years of experience in the field, she is passionate about promoting the mental well-being of children, adolescents, and young people.

Originally from Sweden, Dr Jonsson relocated to Australia in 2004 and has since made significant contributions to the field of psychiatry. She holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the prestigious Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, obtained in 1979. In addition, she received Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2010, solidifying her expertise in the field.

Throughout her career, Dr Jonsson has worked in various public outpatient clinics and hospitals, both in rural and metropolitan areas in Sweden. She has also gained valuable experience working in Launceston, Tasmania, as well as Port Macquarie and Kempsey, New South Wales, where she had the opportunity to work closely with Indigenous communities.
