Mr Tim Lording

Dr. Tim Lording is an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon with specialized expertise in knee surgery. He graduated from Monash University in Melbourne and completed his advanced orthopaedic training in Victoria and Tasmania. He received his fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2011.

Dr. Lording worked as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Sandringham and Frankston Hospitals for 18 months before embarking on further postgraduate subspecialty training overseas. He spent a year at the Centre Albert Trillat in Lyon, France, training in complex knee surgery. He then completed a 12-month fellowship in orthopaedic sports medicine at the Fowler-Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic in London, Canada.

In 2015, Dr. Lording returned to Melbourne and joined the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group. He also holds a public appointment at The Alfred Hospital. Dr. Lording has an active interest in clinical and biomechanical research. His contributions to this field are evidenced by his publication of over twenty articles on knee surgery in peer-reviewed journals and several authored book chapters. Dr. Lording has also presented his research at national and international meetings.

His contributions to the field of research have been acknowledged when Dr. Lording received the APKASS to AOSSM traveling fellowship award in 2016. As a result, he visited and lectured at orthopaedic sports medicine centers in the USA, including those at Harvard and Stanford Universities. Dr. Lording is the scientific secretary of the Victorian branch of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and is a member of the international ACL study group.

Lastly, Dr. Lording is also a member of various associations and societies, including the Australian Knee Society, the Asia-Pacific Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society (APKASS), and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS). He serves on the scientific committee of the ISAKOS, where he contributes his knowledge and expertise to his field.
