Dr Tanya Yuen

Dr Tanya Yuen is a highly accomplished medical professional with an impressive background in both dental and medical fields. She completed her dental degree at the University of Melbourne before moving to the United Kingdom for her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training. During this period, she obtained a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of London.

Upon returning to Australia, Tanya pursued a new career path by obtaining her Medical degree from the University of Melbourne. In 2012, she completed her training in Neurosurgery, and also obtained a PhD in “Tumour Associated Epilepsy” from the University of Melbourne. She was the recipient of several prestigious scholarships during her training, including the Melville Hughes Surgical Trainee Scholarship and the NHMRC Medical Training Scholarship.

Tanya is an accomplished author with several publications in peer-reviewed journals and neurosurgery textbooks. She is also co-convenor of the highly respected Australian neurosurgical meeting, “Controversies in Neurosurgery”. Furthermore, she serves as a regular reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, which is the official journal of the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia.

Currently, Tanya holds Consultant appointments at the Melbourne Private, Royal Melbourne, and Western General Hospitals. Throughout her medical career, Tanya has remained dedicated to providing exceptional care to her patients throughout their treatment. She places a strong emphasis on achieving not only excellent surgical outcomes but also complete patient satisfaction.
