Dr Susie Parnham

Dr Susie Parnham MBBS BMedSci FRACP is a highly qualified and experienced cardiologist, specialising in cardiac imaging, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and cardiomyopathy. With her expertise and dedication, she provides exceptional cardiology services to patients in Bedford Park, Adelaide, South Australia.

Dr Parnham obtained her dual degrees, BMedSci and MBBS, from the esteemed University of Melbourne. She then underwent advanced cardiology training at prestigious institutions including Austin Hospital, Eastern Health, and Monash in Victoria. Her outstanding skills and knowledge led to her being awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

To further enhance her proficiency in cardiac imaging, Dr Parnham pursued a fellowship in cardiac imaging at Flinders Medical Centre. During this time, she specialised in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and echocardiography, including stress echocardiography. Her keen interest lies in utilizing diagnostic stress testing, particularly in patients with increased cardiovascular risk factors, to rule out any cardiac causes.

Dr Parnham is currently undertaking her PhD research degree in the field of 'Utility of Cardiovascular MRI in Cardio-Renal Phenotyping and Prognosis.' Her dedication to advancing medical knowledge and research has been recognized through various prestigious scholarships, including the Postgraduate Research Scholarship from the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) Research Scholarship, and the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) Regional Scholarship.

In 2013, Dr Parnham joined SA Heart, where she provides specialised diagnostic testing and reporting, including stress ECG, echocardiography, and stress echocardiography. Patients have the opportunity to consult with her at their convenient locations, including Flinders and Morphett Vale. For private patients, Dr Parnham has admitting and consulting rights at Flinders Private Hospital.

Aside from her medical expertise, Dr Parnham also possesses excellent language skills. She is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, which enables her to effectively communicate with Indonesian-speaking patients.
