Dr. Stuart C. Kennedy, MD, FRACS is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and upper limb surgery. He has over two decades of experience and is highly accomplished in treating complex shoulder disorders, including rotator cuff disease, shoulder instability, and shoulder replacements.
Dr. Kennedy earned his medical degree with Honours from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his Orthopaedic Residency at Georgetown University Medical Center. Before moving to Australia in 2004, he practiced general orthopaedics and sports medicine at Western Orthopaedics in Denver, Colorado.
Currently, Dr. Kennedy is the Director of Training for the Orthopaedic Trainees at Port Macquarie Base Hospital and a Clinical Instructor at the University of NSW Medical School at Port Macquarie. He is actively involved in teaching and lecturing at local and international meetings to share his vast knowledge and experience.
Dr. Kennedy is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Australian Orthopaedic Association, and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is also an active member of the Australian Shoulder and Elbow Society, continuously enhancing his skills through professional development and research.
