Dr Raymond Hodgson

Dr Ray Hodgson is an experienced gynaecologist whose practice is located in Port Macquarie, a coastal town in New South Wales, Australia. He works in affiliation with Port Macquarie Base Hospital and Port Macquarie Private Hospital, and conducts surgical teaching sessions at hospitals across Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia. Dr Hodgson specialises in treating pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, and infertility.

After graduating from Sydney University in 1981, Dr Hodgson underwent comprehensive training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospitals in Sydney. He then undertook advanced surgical training at Whipp's Cross and St Bartholomew's Hospitals in London. In 2007, he acquired further qualifications by completing a degree in Cosmetic Medicine.

Dr Hodgson also holds many other positions, including serving as the Director of Undergraduate Obstetrics and Gynaecology Teaching Port Macquarie Rural Clinical School, an Examiner of Undergraduate Medical Students at the University of NSW, and an Examiner of Training Obstetricians and Gynaecologists with the RANZCOG. He also serves as the Director of Port Macquarie Ultrasound and Australians for Women’s Health.

Dr Hodgson founded Australians for Women's Health in 2010, an International Aid Organisation that conducts regular surgical treatment camps in developing countries for severe forms of prolapse, incontinence, and complications of pregnancy. Dr Hodgson is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to women and enhancing opportunities for the next generation of health care professionals.
