Dr Steven Craig

Dr Steven Craig is a highly skilled general surgeon with a particular focus on endocrine surgery and surgical oncology. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wollongong in 2004 and earned his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery with honours from the University of Sydney Medical School in 2008. Following his residency at Illawarra-Shoalhaven Local Health District, he obtained his Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in General Surgery in 2017.

Dr Craig's exceptional qualifications and broad education and training make him adept at treating a wide range of patients and conditions. To further enhance his expertise, he successfully applied for the esteemed American Association of Endocrine Surgeons' fellowship program at Canada's University of Calgary in 2018. There, he received in-depth training in endocrine surgery and surgical oncology alongside conducting extensive research on thyroid malignancy.

Dr Craig currently welcomes patients at his practices in Nowra or Milton, where he operates at Wollongong Private Hospital, Wollongong Hospital, Nowra Private Hospital, and Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital. His special interests mainly involve endocrine surgery, surgical oncology, minimally invasive surgery, and endoscopy.
