As a Committee Chair of the International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (FIGO), Prof. Robson has played a crucial role in advancing the field. He has been honored with the highest international award from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is a co-author for the Oxford Textbook of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Prof. Robson's interest in fertility treatment began during his medical training at the University of Queensland in the 1980s, where he studied embryology. Later, he had the opportunity to work with fertility treatment pioneer Professor John Kerin, further fueling his passion for the field. His dedication was recognized when he won the Fertility Society of Australia's Clinicians' Prize in 1998 for his work on surgical sperm techniques.
