Dr Stephen Proud

With over three decades of experience, Dr Proud has established himself as a respected specialist in the field of psychiatry. He has a particular interest in treating schizophrenia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Dr Proud's expertise extends to addiction psychiatry, Buddhist psychotherapy, post-traumatic stress disorders, medico-legal psychiatry, and general psychiatry, especially in the areas of anxiety and depression.

Throughout his career, Dr Proud has held various positions that have contributed to his extensive knowledge and skills. After graduating, he worked as a general practitioner in Zululand and rural Western Australia. Currently, Dr Proud operates as a private adult general psychiatrist. He also holds the distinction of being the Founder and Foundation Medical Director of both Abbotsford Psychiatric Hospital and Blackwood River Clinic.
