Dr Shobha Joseph

Dr Shobha Joseph is an exceptionally skilled Dermatologist based in East Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. With over 20 years of experience in the field, she is a specialist in diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions.

Dr Joseph completed her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India in 1993. After gaining extensive expertise as a specialist dermatologist in India, she relocated to Australia in 2009.

In 2011, she achieved Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, solidifying her status as a leading expert in the field. Dr Joseph has actively been providing her services at Sinclair Dermatology in East Melbourne since 2010. Previously, she gained valuable experience working alongside Professor Rodney Sinclair at the Skin Cancer Triage Clinic at St Vincent’s Hospital.

She was the recipient of the Ambady Memorial Gold Medal in Dermatology from the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists (Kerala Branch) in 1996. Additionally, she has presented numerous scientific papers at the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists conferences, earning recognition and prizes for her work.

A dedicated professional, Dr Joseph is actively involved in training and supervising Registrars in Dermatology at St Vincent’s Hospital General Dermatology clinic and the Psoriasis & Biologics clinic at the Skin and Cancer Foundation.
