Dr Scott Nightingale

Dr Scott Nightingale is a highly skilled gastroenterologist specialising in paediatrics. He currently practices in Cardiff, Newcastle, Australia and is associated with Warners Bay Private Hospital. Dr Nightingale has extensive experience in the field and offers consultations and performs procedures such as diagnostic and interventional upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (gastroscopy), colonoscopy, and liver biopsy when necessary.

Dr Nightingale obtained his Bachelor of Medicine (Honours) from the University of Newcastle. He then pursued advanced training in paediatrics with a subspecialization in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and liver transplantation medicine at the renowned Children’s Hospital at Westmead and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Dr Nightingale is highly respected in his profession.

In addition to his role as a Staff Specialist at John Hunter Children’s Hospital, Dr Nightingale serves as a Conjoint Lecturer in the Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of Newcastle. He is also actively involved in medical research and has published numerous papers on topics including eosinophilic oeosphagitis, viral hepatitis, metabolic liver diseases, and various aspects of paediatric gastroenterology.
