Dr Santanu Baruah

Dr. Santanu (Sunny) Baruah is a highly skilled Consultant Gynaecologist with expertise in general gynaecology, advanced laparoscopic surgery, and infertility. He has a keen interest in minimal access gynaecological surgery, which has earned him a reputation among his peers for his proficiency in a wide range of complex laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries. Dr. Baruah is accredited to perform (level 5/6) advanced gynaecological laparoscopy surgeries and is also an accredited colposcopist. He has extensive experience in managing various gynaecological issues such as menstrual disorders, PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain, and pap smear abnormalities.

Dr. Baruah completed his training in London and Birmingham in the United Kingdom in 2006. He began his career as a consultant at the renowned London Fertility and Gynaecology Centre located in Harley Street, London, before migrating to Perth in 2009. He is currently the Director of the Centre of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynaecology program (COEMIG) based at Joondalup Private Hospital.

Dr. Baruah's impressive credentials include being a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the United Kingdom. He is also a member of the American Association of Gynaecologic Laparoscopists and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.
