Dr Jennifer Pontré

Dr Jennifer Pontré is a highly experienced specialist gynaecologist with a keen interest in complex laparoscopic surgery and endometriosis. As a member of the Endoscopy Unit at King Edward Memorial Hospital, Dr Pontré is actively involved in teaching, clinical work and research. Her key areas of expertise include advanced laparoscopic surgery, endometriosis and pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, hysterectomy, hysteroscopic surgery, abnormal cervical screening tests and colposcopy, vulvar disorders and menopause.

Dr Pontré completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2006. She then went on to train in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King Edward Memorial Hospital, where she obtained her FRANZCOG in 2018. Following this, she completed a two-year Australasian Gynaecologic and Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES) Accredited Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in 2019. Dr Pontré also underwent an additional year of fellowship training in Gynaecologic Oncology at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. Her educational qualifications are further complemented by a Masters degree in Reproductive Medicine and Fertility, which she obtained from the University of New South Wales.

Dr Pontré has extensive experience in the field of gynaecology and is highly regarded for her expertise in laparoscopic surgeries, particularly those related to endometriosis. She is dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients and improving their overall quality of life.
