Dr Gian Urbani

Dr Gian Urbani is a consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist based in Joondalup, Western Australia. With over 20 years of experience, he has established himself as a highly skilled medical professional within his field. Dr Urbani obtained his Masters Degree in Medicine - Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the University of the Free State in South Africa.

Dr Urbani's interest in minimal access gynaecological surgery led him to pursue further study in the field of reproductive medicine. He successfully completed his Masters Degree in Reproductive Medicine at the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Throughout his career, Dr Urbani has worked in various healthcare settings, including a consultant role at a large secondary hospital in Western Canada. During this time, he gained extensive experience in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice, tackling a wide range of gynaecological issues. Notably, he introduced an advanced laparoscopic service, including the provision of total laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Currently, Dr Urbani practices at both Joondalup Private Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus. His passion for minimal access gynaecological surgery remains a cornerstone of his practice, as he strongly believes in its benefits for patients. Dr Urbani's dedication and expertise have been acknowledged through fellowships in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the American College of Obstetricians and gynaecologists, and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
