Dr Raj Kanna is an exceptionally skilled cardiologist specialising in managing structural heart disease, heart failure, right heart catheterization, cardiac risk assessment, and management. He has a passion for spending time with his patients, clearly explaining their condition, and educating them on the necessary management plan.
After graduating from Bangalore University in 1996, Dr Kanna received his Physician training in the UK, obtaining MRCP (UK) in 1999. He then pursued his Cardiology training at esteemed institutions such as the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, Fremantle Hospital, and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Dr Kanna further honed his expertise by completing his Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, where he successfully performed over 500 Interventional procedures.
Dr Kanna's proficiency lies in interventional cardiology, with a particular focus on radial access coronary angiography and intervention. Notably, during his tenure at Fremantle Hospital, he introduced the concept of day-case intervention and radial access acute angioplasty and stenting.
