Dr Rafeeq Samie

Dr Rafeeq Samie is an exceptionally skilled consultant cardiologist specialising in cardiac electrophysiology. He completed his undergraduate medical education at the prestigious University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital before furthering his expertise in emergency medicine at King's College Hospital in London. In 1997, he relocated to Perth, where he underwent rigorous training in cardiology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

Dr Samie then pursued advanced training at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute for two years, focusing on all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology, including remote magnetic navigation. Equipped with comprehensive knowledge and refined skills, he returned to Perth in 2007. He joined Hearts West, where he provides expert electrophysiology services as well as a wide range of general cardiology procedures. Additionally, Dr Samie serves as a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
