Dr. Peter Geoffrey Lucas is a distinguished neurosurgeon with a remarkable career dedicated to addressing a wide spectrum of neurological concerns. Graduating from the University of Queensland in 1998, he embarked on a journey that would lead him to become a respected expert in the field.

Dr. Lucas's initial exposure to the intricacies of neurosurgery occurred during his surgical training at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. This experience ignited his passion for the discipline, setting the stage for his future contributions to the field.

After completing his residency, Dr. Lucas pursued advanced training in neurosurgery, spanning across Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. His relentless pursuit of excellence culminated in the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Neurosurgery, which he earned in 2007.

Dr. Lucas's quest for knowledge and expertise led him to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, England, where he served as a Neurosurgical Fellow. His international experience broadened his horizons and enriched his skill set, ultimately benefitting his patients in Brisbane.

Returning to Australia, Dr. Lucas assumed a consultant position at the esteemed Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where he continued to make significant contributions to the field of neurosurgery. In 2009, he embarked on a new chapter by establishing a private practice in Brisbane Private Hospital, working alongside his wife. Together, they have been unwavering in their commitment to delivering exceptional care to patients facing a diverse range of neurological conditions.

Beyond his surgical prowess, Dr. Lucas is actively involved in the advancement of neurosurgery.
