Dr Paul Eliadis AM is a leading clinical haematologist and oncologist with over 35 years of experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing malignant diseases, as well as performing stem cell transplantation. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland in 1977 and further pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in 1978. In 1988, he co-founded The Wesley Clinic for Haematology and Oncology, now known as Icon Cancer Centre Wesley, together with Dr Ian Bunce and Dr Trevor Olsen. Over the past three decades, this centre has become Australia's largest and most progressive provider of haematology and oncology day services.

Dr Eliadis has a keen interest in clinical research, education, and clinical trials, actively supporting medical research focused on cancer care advancements. He participates as both a principal and sub-investigator in numerous clinical trials. Dr Eliadis is an esteemed member of esteemed medical associations and cancer trial groups such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), BLOOD (HSANZ), the American Society for Haematology (ASH), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia (COSA). Moreover, he serves as a member of the Icon Medical Advisory Committee (MAC), Icon Research Committee, and The Wesley Hospital's Medical Advisory Committee and Quality Assurance Committee.

In terms of qualifications, Dr Eliadis is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia (FRCPA) in clinical haematology. He also holds an esteemed position as an Honorary Adjunct Professor in Medicine at Bond University and is a Senior Lecturer of Medicine at the University of Queensland. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field, he was honored as the UQ Alumnus of the Year in 2019.

Patients can consult Dr Eliadis at the Icon Cancer Centre Wesley, and he also serves as a visiting medical officer at an outreach clinic at Cairns Private Hospital. With his extensive experience in clinical haematology and medical oncology, he demonstrates a special interest in managing malignant lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, acute and chronic leukaemia, sarcoma, colorectal cancers, breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, as well as other malignancies of the gastrointestinal tract and central nervous system. Dr Eliadis collaborates closely with radiation oncologists to ensure comprehensive care for patients requiring concurrent chemo-radiotherapy, such as those with cancer of the head and neck, oesophagus, and rectum.

Recognizing his outstanding contributions, Dr Eliadis was awarded the Order of Australia (AM) in January 2020 for his significant service to medicine as a clinical haematologist and unwavering commitment to charitable initiatives.
