Dr Niwansa Adris

Dr. Niwansa Adris is a highly qualified gastroenterologist, having graduated from Monash University and attained Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2021. His clinical expertise includes nutrition, functional gastrointestinal disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, advanced endoscopy, and liver disease. Dr. Adris is deeply engaged in the education and training of GPs, medical students, and physician trainees, alongside his ongoing research in nutrition and gastroenterology. His patient care philosophy embraces a holistic approach, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, dietitians, psychologists, and physiotherapists to optimize the management of gastrointestinal conditions. He currently serves as a Senior Medical Officer with the hepatology team at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and at The Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS).
