Dr Michaela Hock

Dr. Michaela Hock is a highly experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 20 years of expertise in the field. She completed her medical degree at the esteemed University of Heidelberg in Germany and obtained her specialist training as a Gynaecologist and Obstetrician in 1999.

After completing her training, Dr. Hock worked as a staff specialist at Kreiskrankenhaus Erbach in Germany before founding her own private practice in Michelstadt in 2002. During this time, she gained extensive experience in all aspects of gynaecology and obstetrics.

In 2008, Dr. Hock made the decision to migrate to Australia along with her family. She became the Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Wimmera Base Hospital in Victoria, further enhancing her skills and knowledge in her chosen field. During this time, she successfully completed the requirements to become a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG).

Driven by her desire for warmer weather, Dr. Hock relocated to Queensland in 2012. She currently operates out of North West Private Hospital, where she has established a reputation as a highly skilled and compassionate obstetrician. Dr. Hock takes pride in providing personalized care to her patients, with an emphasis on minimizing interventions during childbirth.

Dr. Hock's areas of expertise include high-risk obstetrics, endometriosis, and pelvic floor disorders. She has extensive experience in operative gynaecology, including laparoscopy, incontinence surgery, endometrial ablation, and tubal ligation. Additionally, she specialises in colposcopy, vulvoscopy, and vulval disorders.

As a dedicated medical professional, Dr. Hock remains actively engaged in her field. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Australian Medical Association, and regularly attends conferences and educational sessions to stay abreast of the latest advancements and techniques in obstetrics and gynaecology.
