Dr Michael Facek

Dr Facek completed his undergraduate degree and medical school at the University of Sydney. He received additional orthopaedic training in Sydney and various regions of northern NSW. In 2016, he was seconded to The Shriner's Hospital in Portland, Oregon, USA, where he underwent sub-specialty knee surgery training with Dr Leo Pinczewski at the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic (NSOSMC) at the Mater Hospital in Sydney.

Dr Facek offers a comprehensive range of services, including sports knee surgery, treatment for arthritic conditions, bony knee trauma, and general orthopaedic trauma for both adults and children. Some specific surgeries he performs include cruciate and collateral ligament surgery, patellar stabilisation surgery, meniscal surgery, total knee replacement, tibial realignment osteotomy, revision arthroplasty, knee fracture surgery, periprosthetic fracture surgery, and tendon repair surgery.

He holds appointments at John Flynn Private Hospital and The Tweed Hospitals, and he is available for both private and public patients.
